Holly Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing home in Towson, Maryland. The project is an addition to a stone mansion originally built by one of the founding members of the Black and Decker Company and converted into a nursing home in the 1960’s. The addition relocates beds from the stone mansion and creates three household levels of 16 private resident rooms and a state of the art rehabilitation center. The addition includes 48 new licensed skill care rooms to meet the project goal of 75 total beds. Rooms in the historic mansion have been converted from nursing rooms into administrative uses. The new addition and renovation responds with sensitivity to the existing buildings, establishes connections to the neighboring community via courtyards and vistas, and creates memorable outdoor places, experiences, and opportunities for the residents through nature.
